The Ibis Property Owners Association (Ibis POA) has been recognized locally, statewide, and nationally for innovations, services, volunteerism, facilities, management, and community programs.  Awards have included the following:

2013

  • Florida Homeowners Association (HOA) Community of the Year – This award is presented to a Florida community that has shown exemplary accomplishments in multiple areas of community association services, facilities, problem solving, and innovations.  Ibis POA is the only community association to receive this award for two consecutive years.
  • Florida Communities of Excellence Award for Disaster Preparedness - recognizes community associations that have developed and implemented comprehensive, effective plans for protecting lives and property in the event of a disaster as well as for community restoration in the aftermath of the emergency.  This award recognized the successful efforts in establishing Ibis Center as an Emergency Operations Center that will not only house base operations for Ibis Public Safety, but also for West Palm Beach Fire Rescue and Police in the event of a disaster.
  • Florida Communities of Excellence Trendsetter Award - Ibis POA was recognized for its Suspicious Activity Reporter app for the iPhone which allows a user to send video, photos, or messages with embedded GPS coordinates to report a concern.
  • Florida Communities of Excellence Volunteerism and Civic Advocacy Award - The countless numbers of volunteers who contribute to keeping our community safe, attractive and an enjoyable place to live and play are the focus of this award.  The tremendous efforts and success of the Ibis Does Care Halloween Food Drive was presented as a wonderful example of how a good idea can grow into an event that collected 14,000 pounds of food and $5500 in donations.
  • Florida Communities of Excellence Florida-Friendly Landscaping Award - recognizes communities that adopt environmentally sound landscape, wetland, preserve and lake management policies, including Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ which refers to landscapes that conserve water, protect the environment, are adaptable to local conditions, and are drought tolerant.

 2012

  • Florida Homeowners Association Community of the Year - The culmination of the Florida Communities of Excellence Conference and Awards Ceremony was the announcement of the 2012 Florida Homeowners Association Community of the Year – Ibis Property Owners Association!  Nominations are judged by a select panel of independent experts chosen from among educators, policy experts, consultants, public officials, and professionals within each industry/category represented.
  • Communities of Excellence for Financial Innovation - This award is presented to communities that have found innovative solutions to ease the impact of financial burdens during challenging economic times while maintaining the quality of amenities and services residents rely upon.  Ibis POA staff along with its Board of Directors and committees continuously develop procedures, policies, and operations that improve the bottom line for Ibis property owners.
